Thanks all for helping me fix my VNC problem. I did get it to
work...however, I can't get any programs to run. When I log in I see the
desktop and icons but all the programs I try always crash as soon as I run
them. In fact when I connect I am always greeted by a dialog box that says:
Klipper
One further note on my crashing problem. I just noticed that it's not the
individual programs crashing. It's something called The KDE Splash Screen.
Anybody know what that is?
Thanks

I haven't used KDE in a while, but as I recall it uses simpler graphics.
That's probably why it's faster -- areas of flat color will encode smaller
than GNOME's gradients and shading do.
