Can anyone forward to me the winvnc.ADM template file for config.pol for use in an NT4
Server/Win98 environment? It's just what I'm after, but the link to it from the VNC
site isn't working.

having installed i am able to access the server comp from another comp running the
viewer.
my query is...can we use VNC via a browser ? i mean can the client comp use a browser
to use VNC to access the server comp ?

I can't open a vnc session from the internet.
I'm connected with a simple 56k modem and the response is always unable to
connect to the server.
I'm sure about the IP adress. I can't also make a telnet connection.
At home VNC work perfectly with a local network (win 98).
What is the problem ?

I'm stumped on 3.3.3r9 viewer issue dealing with a DSL connection. We have 3
remote machines that we use to connect to Win NT machines at work. We use a
VPN for the connection. 2 of us have DSL connections from a NT and Win 2k
machines and they consistently work great. The third is a Win98 machine

I have the same problem with two installations.
At boot up the WinVNC service starts but the properties box stays open and
the icon is not visible in the sys-tray. What am I missing?

I realize that rconsole can run over IP for NetWare 5. However, for
NetWare 4 and older I don't think it provides this functionality. Is

I'm having trouble connecting to a server outside my firewall. Both server
and workstation are WinNT4 SP5. Server is running latest WinVNC. When I
try to connect using java client, I get java.io.eofexception error (after

Actually, Matt was right on the money. VNC stores passwords according to
each individual user's profile, but only when they set it the first time.
So, for instance, the first time you run VNC on the system you install it

Where can I find the server log file for WinVNC on W2K ?I would expect
that there is a log file similar to the one that is posted on the Linux

I am helpdesking the cluster of 20 Jornada 720 (StrongARM + Windows CE) machines.
I searched the web to find Remote control system with server for Jornada Handheld PC,

SafeTP server under Windows?
The SafeTP server service freezes whenever I try to connect to the VNC
server. I dont know whether this is a SafeTP bug (probably), or a VNC
