Try using the vncserver -depth 24 (or 16)
option...worked for me!

Tried it...and have the same result as the -depth 24
option. No icons, No Konqueror, Nada. Do get an xterm
though, and can run apps from the command line. I
don't think I mentioned this, but I'm running KDE2.0
from Mandrake 7.2. I'm thinking that I have to link to
an .X-config- file. But I'm not s
OK...I've removed everything except for the:

backround for KDE and cursor(and the nice error
message) but nothing else!

I know there are a lot of these questions already out
there, and I've tried the VNC FAQ to set this up(to no
avail). I'm running KDE2.0 and the server shows my
desktop color and cursor OK but no Icons. An xterm
window also shows up. I try running startkde from that
and get a ton of errors,
