Someone suggested using device driver level code to
take advantage of power save feature to turn off the
monitor before. I appreciate if some one can share
more info such as source code etc with regards to this
issue.

on unix/linux,
is there a way to hook a Xvnc server to an existing X application. What I
mean is: if an X application "xapp_A" is running, I would like to start a
Xvnc server. Have Xvnc talk to the application and then connect to it with a
vncviewer to share "xapp_A" only.

Hi,
VNC server is running on display 1 on a SuSE 7.1 linux box. VNC client runs on
win2k box, but when I contact the server, I only get X without xterm, kde,
etc.
