Hi all,
Okay, I need to be able to control WinVNC from only one NIC in a dual NIC computer.
Essentially I am setting up a NAT/File Server/Print Server and I want to be able
control this machine from inside the NAT, but not allow anyone from the outside to
have control. I am using Win2K server.
Does anyone have it working with Via KM133 chipset video?

Hi again.
It's clear that WinVNC doesn't trap and send text from the server to the

Hi Everyone:
I am trying to play with VNC and the Zebedee tunneling program and I am
having trouble setting it up to connect via a web browser. Is it possible
to have Zebedee be set up to accept incoming connections via a web browser
and still be encrypted? If so, how is it done? Thanks for yo

For some good reasons and some bad reasons, yes, there are important
applications that will not run without a pseudocolor visual. For
example, many vlsi cad tools require 8-bit ps

Hi All,
Just a quick note to say the the NT/2000 push script (fastpush) has been
updated to version 2.3. The new version contains the latest releases of
TightVNC and Zvnc.
The old URL will continue to work, but the new one is www.darkage.co.uk/vnc/
Cheers

Are you lost. Or just not into reading.
The documentation fully describes how to do this on both windows and Unix.
And if you know how to search, then you can look through the lists.
But the answer to your question is yes it can be done and without
recompiling.
I will describe the default behavi

Yes by the same binary.
As SunOS is binary compatible. the stuff for 5.5 will work on 5.6 and 5.7
and 5.8 and 5.9 when released.

The current version of VNC seems for SunOS 5.5.
I am just wondering if SunOS 5.8 is supported.

You should try rdp2vnc, from
http://www.uk.research.att.com/~jnw/downloadables, which is a newer
equivalent of vdesktop.
There should also be another new release based on rdp2vnc quite soon, with
more encodings, better updates and suchlike.

Have the same question for Windows. Have (I think) set on a windows
machine the server to listen at port 8080 (display# 67716). VNC viewer
connects fine to Ip:73616 or IP:8080, but I can't get the java viewer to

Hi,
is there any way to change the port 5800 to 8080 ?
There's a firewall between 2 computers,
and the firewall only allows port 8080.
I tried to re-compile the source-code,
but there are too much errors while compiling,
some files are missed, too.
(I changed the line #define HTTP_PORT_OFFSET 58

Yes, unfortunately there are lots of old apps that
only know how to use 8-bit PseudoColor visuals.
Worse, there are some that only work if that's the
default, even if other visuals are supported.

Hi everybody,
especially those wanting to port to a new platform,
I created a library to facilitate writing a vnc server. It speaks all
encodings known to TridiaVNC 1.2.1 and has this nice HTTP server embedded.
Look at

to know more.
