I have loaded VNC successfully on 150+ systems. Today in my test
environment, I was attempting to install VNC 3.3.3r7 on 3 servers, all from
different vendors. On each of them I received an Error 105 message. Can
someone shed some light on this error?

Actually all you need is "-:+10.8" It'll reject everything except
connections coming from the 10.8 network. I've never tried it using
multiple values - if I look at it, it seems to be ignoring the first part of
the expression (the "-:10.9" part) and simply evaluating the last bit
("-:10.8"). Wh

Hi,
To get windows VNC to 'see' your linux machine...
1) Ensure that windows knows about your Linux machine - put an entry into
hosts on the windows machine that points to the Linux system eg..

I thought this would be a common query but my searches on the mailing list

I need to roll-out winVNC to around 30 Win2000 PC's, and I want to restrict

Hi all,
I've just spent the last hour or 2 playing about with the AuthHosts setting.
The PC i'm working with has 2 network cards. One NIC is on one LAN, and
the other is on another LAN.
What i'm trying to do is allow PC's on the 1st LAN (10.8) to have access to
my PC. But at the same time deny a
We're using Oracle Reports and Graphics rel 6i (not sure if this is the
version that comes in Oracle 9i Internet Application Server). We use XVFB

get around the problem. Oracle Reports requires an X server running. XVFB
Hey guy,
What I hear is you connect to your system as it is waking up from standby
mode.
Is standby reinitializing some items? Have you tried to disconnect and give
it a few minutes then try again?
Just my two cents.

I've seen that before too. Sometimes the client and server lose their

Wolfgang,
do you press the keys CTRL+ALT+DEL or do you use the VNC functionnality? it may be

PSKill worked perfectly! I was able to use it kill the process, then the Services
applet to restart it.
Finally, something that works "as advertised". :-)
Thanks all.
