FYI, I compiled and ran vnc server on Solaris 2.6 Intel OK,
but had to use 'gcc'. I didn't find it so clear how to
specify 'HasGCC' (in site.def there's just a HassGcc2?) so I
just symbolically linked /usr/ucb/cc to /usr/local/bin/gcc
and that seemed to work OK.

On Linux:
1. which parameter shall I give with pppd?

Ensure that your TEMP directory has no junk in it from other installs -
