I had been using TightVNC 1.3dev7 but switched to try RealVNC 4.1.1
(free version) today. Everything was working great except that
copy/paste from Window s (client) to Linux (server) and/or back-again
doesn't work!
I'm familiar with autocutsel and tools like that, but they don't help
either. My

Are you running "vncconfig -nowin" on the server?
Your xstartup file needs to contain the line: vncco
I'm using realvnc 4.1.1 for a server on Linux with viewer on Windows.
When gnome starts up I get this error:

Okay, I figured this out. It was a bad path in my environment for
Solaris. So, running "vncconfig -nowin &" in my ~/.vnc/xstartup works
for Solaris (with olvwm) too, just like Linux (with gnome).
