You may want to see if Synergy (http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/)
provides what you need. I tried it some time ago, and it was adequate
for Windows-to-Unix, although I went back to using x2vnc
(Unix-to-Windows).

Note that mcookie doesn't exist on all platforms (e.g. Solaris 8), so
