I need the viewers to be able to see the mouse pointer as it moves on the serving
machine.
I could swear this has worked by default in the past.
The purpose for this is in doing presentations and demonstrations, it's nice to be
able to
point to something with the mouse pointer and say "look her
In case someone missed it... I've tried to run separate servers and on separate display
numbers, and it does not happen... at least not on my Win 2k. Also, no option for a
second password.
Maybe I am an idiot. Perhaps, if you have the answer that will work for me, you should
describe the steps
the
one
user. How do I force that setting for all incoming connections?

Are there plans to add support for audio? Example: The server PC has ICQ running, and
the
remote viewer can hear the "ut-oh".

I'm using Terminal Services to control a remote PC, and RealVNC for other users to view
what I'm doing. I can only get 256 colors.
Any help?

When I "Disable Remote Keyboard and Mouse" in RealVNC 3.3.4, all colors are pretty
close.
When I UNcheck it, colors are crazy... nothing CLOSE to real screen colors.
Is anyone else going through this?

Wasn't "Shared" at one time a Server setting? I'm having the same trouble (and asked
about a few weeks ago), and would LOVE to be able to have all my demo attendees on at
once.

I need to provide a link which multiple users can click to access my VNC Server as a
SHARED viewer/connection. Currently, new users bump the existing user.
Your help is appreciated.

I've emailed this very question to this list on two separate occasions with no
response at
all. I also wonder if Jim Tatum's post "Persistent Drop Connections" is related.
It would be really nice to have an answer for this issue.
Thank you.

Is there any way to force Java Viewers (or any, for that matter) to
"Share" the desktop, instead of defaulting to knocking off any existing
viewer?
Also: MANY thanks to TightVNC for incorporating seperate "View Only" and
"Full Control" passwords. NICE feature :).
Thank you.

I like that idea... how would you do that, Paul?
Could you provide a very short sample script?
Thank you.

Is there an "alwaysshared" for windows in the works? I see a few posts in the archives
referencing it to enforce sharing from the server on *nix, but I tried for my Windows
server and gently reminded that it is not a valid option.

Thank you.

Jim,
What I do is set up each machine (server) as a different display number: 1, 2, 3
Then I set port forwarding to the appropriate machine (assumes you're using the
browser...
exclude the 58xx if not):
display 1 needs 5801 and 5901
display 2 needs 5802 and 5902
display 3 needs 5803 and 5903

Win2k/XP
VNC 4 (beta)
In the newest version, connecting through a browser, I don't get the buttons at the
top of
the display anymore (as I did in 3.3.7), and I don't see another means of sending Ctrl
Alt
Del to the server.
Can anyone help?
