Hello,
A week or so ago I picked up the latest version of VNC as a trial 30 day
install.
This package was installed onto my winXP server, and onto a win2000 client
as a viewer.
I configured the server with encryption. The setup appeared to work fine
although I have the following gripes :
1.
Is Real VNC considered current safe enough (generally) to use across the
internet ?.
Googling for VNC exploits appears to imply that there have been many
vulnerabilities
in the past, and having free source code available only compounds the
security risk.

Hi,
Aren't I'm right in thinking that there is still no 16 bit colour
support for VNC ?.
I think that this would be a really good compromise depth for over the
internet.
Adrian.

Hi,
Is it possible to configure VNC such that the remote end cannot observe
what is happening on the machine; i.e the screen locks & blanks when I attach,
rather like remote windows does ?.
Thanks.
