We've got a desktop pc which runs telephone software.
It crashes everytime I try to start it, without a error.
When we use remote software to control the pc and then
start the apllication, it works fine! ( We use RealVNC )
Why does it work when we use remote software?

Yes you are correct on both counts. Most users don't have the knowledge to
configure VNC. VNC configuration needs to be more automated.
On the router side. It does need to be set up to forward the specific port for
the specific internal IP of the computer. Not much can be done to automate that
