Hi,
I am using RealVNC 4.1.2 free edition to connect between two XP Pro boxes.
Connecting from within my organisations network (from my work computer to
the box running VNC Server) is no probs, but when I VPN in to the network

Hello Noriaki-san,
The RFB protocol specification already defines the range of encodings used
by the TightVNC project, including the "quality-level" encodings. So as

Hello Noriaki-san,
Firstly, we normally refer to the standard VNC distribution as VNC Free
Edition these days, or simply VNC.
Secondly, you haven't added your own copyright notice to the files you've
modified - I don't know whether that's intentional, but I thought I'd
mention it!

Further to my email below, I find that I can connect >from< the Win95 machine

However, when I try to connect the other way the connection is refused.
Does this provide any clues to the problem?

I'm using RealVNC 4.1.2 under Vista Home Premium 32-bit. So far using Vista

immediately closes the connection, and keeps me out until i manually go t
Looks like the Admin privileges / Security popups are easily disabled by
running "MSCONFIG", going to the Tools tab, and running the Disable UAC
(User Access Control) script. Is there any plan to support UAC in Vista in
the future?
