Hi,
is it possible to configure RealVNC server to export only
the primary monitor of a dual head Windows machine? Or is
possible to configure the client to request only a
monitor?

MS,
Yes, although it does require a registry-setting: Under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/RealVNC/WinVNC4 on the server computer, add a
REG_SZ value called DisplayDevice, with the device name of the desired
monitor - the primary monitor is \\.\DISPLAY1 for example.

Is it possible to set up VNC on Mac and allow simultaneous private
sessions for users? Is this only possible if each VNC user has their
own system login and VNC is run as a system service? Ultimately we
would like to have our Mac available as a server for developers and
designers to login and te

Not sure if this will help with your problem, but the string I suggest below
is syntactically more accurate:
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m state -
It is in the SERVICE mode all right. I can sign on through VNC if I have
signed in before and just have the PC locked but can't do so if it is just
rebooted.

hello
Let me add that I looked into the Line speed estimate for my 2 VNC connections:
- the remote DSL connection: 770 kbits/s (has the 10053 problems)
- the WiFi connection: 1370 kbit/s (works perfectly)
found into the VNC Connection Info panel.
Would anyone see any clue relating the 770 kbit/s

Port below 1024: I read somewhere that some providers, at least in France, tend
to squeeze ports above 1024 for traffic control reasons, thus I tried doing so
to avoid being sqeezed.
Question: how does this relate with your remark about open ports and admin
rights?
Restart every hour:
Well, there're several things that you could/should look at. What's
the version of your VNC server, by the way? Let's suppose you've got
version 4.
In the services console, do you see the "VNC Server Version 4"
service? Is it started? How about its startup type? Is it automatic

Oh, just another idea Do you have Windows Defender in this PC?
Try to uninstall it too first if it's there.

Real VNC 4.1.2 on XP SP2 Tablet, VNC client shuts down when left for a
while, we need it to stay active.
It is set to auto reconnect.
We previously used WinVNC and I am sure that did not close the session
and would stay active until manually closed.
Any ideas please?
Each time I use VNC from my laptop it screws up the crazy Panda Security
program I am running on it. The AV software part of the suit stops
functioning. I am stuck with this package until next year. Looking at their
website was worse than useless. Can anyone help me figure out how to set up

Need help!
I use VNC free edition to connect to PC's on the LAN and works okay.
Now I want to access remote computer on the internet mostly on cable
modems (optonline).
Essentially I will be accessing from the LAN, only outbound connection
that I need.
1) Can this version do this?
2) How can con
I'm trying to connect via vncviewer 4.1.2 to a Mac running OS X 10.4,
which has Apple Remote Desktop/VNC Server enabled and a password set. I
have not been successful and I have scoured the mailing list for a
solution without success.
