Hi Richard, VNC Enterprise & Personal Editions are designed for use over untrusted and/or public networks, without requiring VPN or tunnelling technologies to be used. VNC Free Edition uses challenge-response to authenticate to VNC Server, but does not encrypt session data. Regards, Wez @ RealV
