I am having trouble getting the vnc server to start on Solaris. I have
never used this before and having a hard time trying to configure.
I have copied the .vnc directory from another working user but still no
luck.

hi i have just installed a linux operating system and i was wondering how i

router (a combined Router, Firewall, WAP and ADSL modem) to my PC running WinXP

Thank you for the information. I suppose if I am using VNC WITHIN our LAN, I
can use printer sharing. However, I am coming in from the outside. What do
you think would happen if I first established a VPN connection and THEN
started up VNC? I will have to try that.

As an experiment, try running the server in user mode (i.e. disable
the service and run the server from the start menu.)
does this produce the same result?

please be more specific in your question. Additionally you should
define a subject when posting to this list it helps people to sort out
whats going on.
I am sure someone here will help you please tell us what you have done
