Hi,
That functionality is not available under Windows 95/98/Me because those
systems don't provide the required system calls to implement it.

Hello all,
I'm trying for several days now to integrate the vnc extension module

It cannot connect to it, neither from the local network, nor from the
machine where it should run itself.
Maybe I just put the options into the

Thanks for the link - it's fantastic!
You shouldn't know if it could be possible to prompt the user to accept
the incoming connections (like in 4.0)?

This is not true. If you have two VNC servers behind a router with NAT, you
will need to put one of the servers on a different port for your outside
people to accesses both of them.
This is why: With NAT your router is setup with one outside WAN address and
one inside LAN address, it then forw

Heya. From my perspective, using the Viewer client to
specify which Display number to connect to is very much the
same thing as using the client to specifiy the port to connect
to. After all, port number = display number + 5900.
Have a look at this FAQ here:

Hi
I have only just recently started using VNC 4 on a small peer-to-peer
network (around 15 PC's running Win 95, 98 and XP variously) in the hope
that I will do a little less walking around for simple support queries.
I have needed to send CTRL-ALT-DEL remotely, but it doesn't seem to do
anything
So I'm wondering if this is by design or a bug?

Hi all,
I have a custom application implementing the basic VNC server protocol

The application works fine when I use the older 3.3.7 VNC viewer

To disable the icon as well, for the best of both worlds, you would need to
create the key

I second this. I first encountered this problem after upgrading from
VNC 3.3.7 to VNC 4.0. Downgrading back to VNC 3.3.7 did not correct the
problem. There is definitely an interaction between RDP and VNC on
Windows 2003 boxes which render VNC pretty much unusable unless you
don't use RDP.

I second Stewart's opinion on this. VNC 4.0 and RDP 5.0 do not coexist
well. I use RDP or VNC exclusively on a single machine.
If someone finds a good fix, perhaps they can post it on this list. I would
love to be able to use either.
Alan.
