Thanks very much for your helpful reply!
I'm testing as root, so I do not think it's an access issue to any of
the directories in the font path (there is no font server).
I've made sure (as per your recommendation) that the font path is

Then, I go in the base of register, and I pass AllowProperties to 0
(prevents the user from modifying the parameters). When I reboot, if I
connect myself to waiter VNC, it

You can use VNCpwd to remotely change a VNC password on a Windows box (NT,
2000 & XP). I guess you'd need to restart the service (use SC) to the
change to be complete.

I have a cheap video card installed in a 1Ghz pc,
does VNC use any of the cards resources?
It seems very slow, and uses a TON of processor time.
I have another computer that is just as fast with a different video card, and it's
plenty fast.
Ideas?

Does anyone know if this issue/bug has been resolved yet?
This happens with my current version of VNC:
If I connect when the computer boots, I get the login screen just fine, so I
disconnect.
Then I log in with M$ "Remote Desktop" and decide to _close_ the session window.
Then I try to use VNC aga
You could try using the Hook driver from [EMAIL PROTECTED]

you could try setting your Hardware acceleration for the video card down to none.
