Hi,
I am running a VNC server on a linux red hat at work and VNC client on Windows
vista from home. When I try to connect to the server (hostname:0), it does not
prompt me for a VNC password, it takes me directly to my linux username and
password. Once I login to linux, it looks like a new

I know that this depends upon the LMCompatibilityLevel setting on
Windows, but I'm not sure in what form

If you know something that works on DOS, Windows or PHP,

Thanks!

does someone know how to get a vnc-password in php or perl?
it should accept the password from a web interface,
and return only the coded password.
would like to add this to my vnc scanner at http://Scan.SimBox.NL,
so that it will be possible to connect from the site, using winvnc client

I have discovered a bug in the way VNC handles passwords. . .If you use a
password that contains an underscore(_), VNC ignores everything after the
password. Example, if you set a VNC password to be 1234_1 , the user can
login using 1234_xxx. I downloaded the latest release(9) and the same
