When I install Centos5.x on my system and start the vncserver ..i can't
get connection from a remote machine(windows or Linux).But if I login
once through the console(locally on the server ) on X can I get the
remote connections going smoothly.Everything goes fine even after

I am away from my office for a while, but I need to access my workstation.
I do this by connecting to the server via Remote Desktop and then connecting
to my workstation with VNC. However, I just remembered I forgot to specify
a password on the VNC Server on my computer. How can I log in

in the lab and plug a keyboard and mouse and login directly
and then try to vnc over it works fin
I am trying to log onto my win 98SE machine from work (win 2000) and the page
wont even load. now I am know it will load on other machines cuz I have
tested it and login was successful. could there be port restrictions or
something like that? my guess is that it shouldn't matter since its

it has been awhile but I think that is bug with the interaction of VNC and the video
driver. It can sometiems be solved reinstalling/updating the video driver.
