most probably the remote computer is protected by a firewall that blocks RPC
traffic. That's most common reason for "The RPC server is unavailable"
errors.
To open RPC ports via GPO you should do the following:
Start "gpedit.msc" snap-in. Navigate to Computer
Configuration->Administrative Tem
I'm trying to connect to my RealVNC server at home from work, but there is a
firewall at my job. I know that ports 20, 21, and 22 are free, so all I have to
do is use that port. But so far it hasn't been working. I changed the port from
