Hello everyone,
Previously in Whatsapp I would hear "voice message from xxx plus the number."
Now I am hearing the name and "new messages will disappear from this chat 7
days after they are sent except when they are kept." I did not change any
settings, so don't know why or how this new setting
Hi there. Inside a chat, go to the very top where it says image. Tap on it, and
then go down to disappearing messages. Tap on it in set it to turn it off. That
will turn off your disappearing messages. If you want to change the setting
again, do the same thing. I hope this helps. Have a nice day
Richard, I suspect since BARD Mobile is already accessible with VoiceOver in its native form, those results you're getting are the very reason we recommend that screen recognition not be left on unless one is positive that it benefits the app in question. You can get very unreliable results with sc
Yes I know that.
But Charles was recommending to folks they turn on Screen Recognition in BARD
to see how a sighted person sees the screen, which in my test, is nonsense at
best.
So, I was responding to Charles. No one should ever touch screen recognition
unless they cannot access an app norm
Correct, it used to say Mute on and Mute off, now it says "Ring Mode" when mute
is off and "Silent Mode" when mute is on.

If you hear something like " Image, a white letter on a gray background" that
could also mean you have "Describe Images" turned on which is different from

I don't think these captions you enter are read automatically by Voiceover.

Hi, As long as we are on the subject, I put screen recognition on the rotor,
or at least I thought I had. I went in to rotor and selected it but it does
not appear in the rotor. No matter where I am in the phone. I can be on a
web site and it is still not in the rotor. Any ideas why? Thanks
The same thing happened to me.

Hello, what are some of your favorite smart plugs? Whether it works well with

Did you try going into VoiceOver Settings, VoiceOver Recognition and turning

Make sure it is saying selected in the rotor items section on Screen

Then, going into an app and check the rotor?

Sorry Charles and Christopher. Sometimes my brain does funny things like

We use SmartLife Smart Plugs. They can be purchased in two packs at Walmart and
work with an app on the iPhone. They work well with Voice through both Sonos

No, but I just did. There is also a button that says, apply to apps. Do I

The Apply to Apps is so you can select some apps to automatically load screen
recognition. It is useful once you determine an app works best with Screen
Recognition on.
For me, I set Sonos to load screen recognition automatically.
Also now, my Arboleaf app for my scale.
I’d leave it alone
OK, sounds great. That is really what I thought it might be about, but glad
you confirmed it. Take care.

Hi,
This situation has been around for years and I don't know what to do about

I have Mail set up so that messages are threaded, which is particularly

I often use Alan’s method. But I also use your method and don’t have the issue

I believe you need to have volume added to your voiceover rotor and then you
can adjust the voiceover specific volume from there. I think it might be there
by default, but maybe I change that along time ago I don’t remember.
