Im not having this problem at all. My voice dream reader is working very well. This last update seems very stable and at least for me, doesn’t seem to have some of the issues of previous versions.Sent from Joshua’s radical chariot!!!On Jun 16, 2024, at 7:16 PM, Richard Turner wrote:Richard, USA“G

hi,
As the subject line states, many books that I had on my phone through the app
state not available even though I am in the middle of some. Any suggestions? If
I uninstall the app and re-download, will I lose all the books I have
downloaded?
Thank you,
Beth

Keith,

The article stated you did not have to use Siri, but since I’m not testing the
beta and this is a speculative article, it could end up being so, but Voice
control in general is separate from Siri. In fact, you don’t even have to have
VoiceOver on to use Voice Control. It is directed at people
I’ve heard of this behavior being reported with the beta. Not particularly uncommon.Sent from my iPhoneOn Jun 16, 2024, at 08:31, Robert Doc Wright wrote:

Robert, I had an owner from another List that had an issue with their phone
heating up, but it was an older model. And he lost speech. But was able to
reset the phone and get everything back to normal. But I'm sure he was not
running the beta.

I have read you still have to invoke Siri first.

Well, on my 13 pro, using BARDMobile with Screen Recognition is awful.
In places it says Image, a white letter on a gray background … or something
equally useless.
If that is what a sighted person sees, I am glad they don’t have to use
BARDMobile.

I agree, but using more graphical apps doesn’t mean an app has to be less

Screen recognition was also useful when the new SiriusXM app was released. It
gave access to the mini-player which wasn’t seen by VoiceOver at all. If you
want to see what it looks like, and how it might be useful, turn it on while
using the BARD Mobile App, if you have it. It isn’t necessary to
Alan made me think of another point to make.
Since my Arboleaf app now works so well, in the VoiceOver Recognition settings,
under Screen Recognition, there is a place to select apps for which you want
screen recognition to turn on automatically when you open that app.
I added Arboleaf to that
Just to echo Richard's point, screen recognition should definitely be in your rotor because apps are being updated continuously and in my experience, developers are using more graphical objects in their apps. If you're noticing an app that used to work and now VoiceOver doesn't seem to be speaking
Are use the screen recognition some. I think having it in the rotor is definitely a good idea on some apps screen recognition makes it a little more usable. One example is the app known as the weather channel. I’ve been able to turn screen recognition on and have it read things in The Weather Chann
I have a scale that I weigh myself on that is Wi-Fi made by Arboleaf. Their
app became very difficult to use after a recent update.
I decided to try Screen Recognition in their app; which has the same name,
Arboleaf.
It works perfectly with screen recognition, in fact, it reads much better. T

I keep hearing that screen recognition is good for some things. Can someone
give an example where it does some good? I’d like to learn what it is supposed
to do.
