Running into some issues with passing through an R9 380 (besides the usual reset bug). Processor's a 5960x, if that's relevant.
First up, I'm running Arch Linux on kernel 4.4.5. For what it's worth, the issues occurred on the latest Fedora kernel, too.

I haven't used exclusive pinning on 4.5.0, but my CPU on my host for qemu
never goes below 90% on the main PID, even when the my Win 10 guest is 100%
idle. That might not be in the spirit of this thread, though.

Stock kernel (4.5.0), intel_iommu=on in my grub config, Intel's working for
video. The only snag I've hit with it is that the Intel GPU's audio over
HDMI doesn't work when you're doing passthrough, if you care about that.
Personally, I'm doing passthrough on my desktop, so working audio is
