Hi,
AFAIK the rpihddevice plugin does not work on RPI4, so consider this on
making hw upgrade. I'm using 3 VDR clients in my home, all 3 are
different RPI3 versions, and they are running rock solid for at least 4
or 5 years.
Upgrading from Pi2 to Pi3 does make sense, as -at least in my case-
Hi there,
My config:
- Asus M2NPV-VM (Geforce6150), Hauppauge nexus-s.
- suse 10.0, kde, vdr-1.4.4.
I recently purchased a 32" LCD-TV, and I would like to set up
vdr-softdevice, to connect vdrbox via D-SUB or DVI to the TV set.
I compiled ffmpeg-0.4.9-cvs and vdr-softdevice-0.4.0 without any
Thanks for your reply.

Can you try to change the OSD drawing mode in setup.conf ?
softdevice.OSDalphablend = 1
I tried, no success.
Three more things:
1. I do not have any softdevice.

I reinstalled ffmpeg-0.4.9 from rpm (and all the dependencies) but I have
the same output. It doesn't matter if i start softdevice with dummy or xv
video output.
I will do some more investigations tonight.

Check what value you have for XV_COLORKEY, using eg. xvattr.
Thanks for reply. I've installed xvattr, I can't see any lines containing
XV_COLORKEY. I use nvidia driver.

Hello,
My issue is not strictly VDR related, but I'm using my DVB card
exclusively with VDR for about 2 years.
I have a nexus-s FF card with Hauppauge grey remote, and it's working ok.
Recently I added a CI module to my sistem (with a Cryptoworks module). If
the CI is connected with the flat cab

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I can see only one jumper on my CI,
which is marked: 3V/5V. I suppose it is the CAM's voltage, it is set to
5V.
But I can see
This is my CI module:

BTW: for a Crytpoworks CAM the voltage should be 3 or 5V?
Thanks.

Finally I bought a mini-jack -> jack adapter, and I plugged in the IR
sensor into the CI module. Now I have Cryptoworks CAM and remote control.
Thanks to Ales for pointing me in the right direction, I had no idea that
the CI module is somehow IR related (I don't have any documentation for
the CI

Let me correct myself :)
I made a VDR restart (very unusual for me:) ), and now the subtitles (BBC
Prime - UPC ) are just fine with the patch applied.

My problem is, that the above link is working,
Hello,
I have a couple of questions about my future upgrading.
My VDR is running fine with a single Nexus-S for a couple of years. Beside
the VDR box I have another sat receiver, and I'm thinking about
integrating it in my VDR box via a budget (skystar2?) card.
My goal is:
