Looks nice! What's the main difference between this and VDR-Live?

Is it possible for VDR to only record new episodes of shows?
For example, I don't want to record every single episode of a certain
show, but instead I just want the new episodes.
Also, how smart is VDR if an episode is a special episode and is
longer than a normal episode, etc?
Thanks,
John

I'm using VDR 1.7.18 with the latest GIT version of VDR-Live and it's
not working that great...
For example, some images do not appear and then when I try to access
certain links (randomly) VDR will just crash without any errors.
I've tried enabling verbose debugging for VDR-Live but it's not say

That's exactly the data I was talking about (original air date).
I'm guessing that's how other DVR applications have options such as
"Record New Episodes Only", etc.

My provider sends EEPG information containing information such as
"Original Air Date" and "Episode ID". I think I can add the
neccessary DVB descriptors the code but where should I add this in the
epg.data file?
Does anybody have any information or advice on this?
My goal is to use the epgsearch
No, it's not part of the DVB specification. The data is stored inside
private descriptor tags.

How difficult is it to add custom (additional) data to the epg.data file?
For example, my satellite network broadcasts additional fields such as
"original air date" and "repeat episode?", etc.
Additional, how hard would this be to add to VDR Live (and epgsearch?)
Did anything change with VDR 1.7.21 regarding EIT?
For some reason I'm only getting partial EIT data (ie. lots of
channels are missing EIT data).
For my provider, the 7 day EPG guide is sent on one specific
transponder and it contains EPG information for all satellites and
services on the entire
Thanks Klaus.
I've found my problem. I modified the VDR source and had a very tiny
mistake (single equal sign instead of double equal sign -- oops!).
It's working perfect now. Thanks so much!

Does VDR know if two programs are located on the same transponder so
that it can allow both programs to record at the same time? (this
would also help when extending recording times by a minute or two and
thus create overlapped recordings even though they are on the same
channel or transponder)

Is it possible to have VDR Live name it's recordings according to the
title of the show?
For example, I'd love to see recordings named like this:
- .ts (ie. "The King of Queens - Name of Episode.ts")

I'm trying to record from an MPEG-2 stream and I'm getting an error
"ERROR: video data stream broken".
I've narrowed down the problem to remux.c where it's looking for the
Picture Start Code (0x0100) and it's never finding it so it's
timing out. I'm not exactly sure why this is happening sinc

My DVB-S provider sends a 9-day EPG guide only one one specific transponder.
Is it possible to use only that transponder for EPG grabbing?
...or can I specify which channels/transponders to use somehow?

It looks like my DVB provider is broadcasting incorrect EIT
information. The SIDs listed are correct but the ONID and TSID are
invalid.
Can VDR ignore the ONID/TSID and match EIT information solely on the SID?
Would this be hard to patch?
It looks like eit.c would need to be modified so it can
