the playback stops every x secs.

Sxfe as remote frontend doesn't reconnect when vdr restarts.
It says that it can't get data from the server but it doesn't try to
reconnect.
Tcp transport was used.
Any idea what's wrong?

The fat filesystem has many limitations and I vote for dropping special
support for it in VDR because if someone wants to use a windows system,
he/she can use ntfs which works fine in current distributions (ntfs-3g).

the xineliboutput guys are doing a great job with the plugin and I am
almost hapy with it.
I think the better approach was the softdevice plugin which was more
easy to install and depends only on libavcodec.

the osd shows wrong position and sometimes the frontend vdr-sxfe hangs.
Tested with recordings from german pro Sieben.
The problem doesn't occour with old pes recordings.
Q: can someone reproduce the problem?

Which video output driver are you using for sxfe?
When you use xv the problem is in most cases the fglrx driver.
If your card works with the opensource radeon driver you should use it.
run the xvinfo to see if xv works correctly.
You can also test other output drivers for sxfe:
e. G. opengl.

starting the replay of my radiorecording:

BTW.: If I use mplayer via http as frontend for xineliboutput it's
possible to replay the radiorecording.

Some intel cards supports afaik xvmc as well.
Check if this is available for your card and use it.
That way some parts of the mpeg stuff will be decoded by the gpu.
If this isn't available for your card, use xv.

set in menu->settings->dvb
Update channels to add new transponders
then press ok.
Then set the ca field to unencrypted and switch to that channel in vdr.
Vdr should detect the ca field and change the vallue.

In my channels.conf there are the channels:
atv;Service Provider:12633:v:S42.0E:4800:308+8179:256=eng:0:0:1:1:1:0
SAMANYOLU TV;STV:11951:v:S42.0E:8800:300:301=tur:0:0:1:1:48:0
Vdr start on ATV.
After switching to the second channel, vdr changes the name and
providername of the first one.

Try the folowing steps to reproducee the error:
Add an mp3-directory to your mp3sources.conf.
The mp3 dir must have subdirectories!!!
Start the plugin and change into a subdirectory.
Now close the plugin.
Remove only the subdirectory of the mp3-dir.
Now start the plugin.
The plugin remembers

I made my tests with an unpatched vdr.
Now the question is where to go on with debuging
or why vdr tries to change channelnames etc without swithing
to
another channel on a different trnasponder?
