hello Klaus,
I tried the patch below with a knc1 dvb-c, tt c1500 and tt connect ct-3650
I used a alphacrypt light and I also tried the classic module
always the same behavior - if I zap from encrypted channel to encrypted
channel in some situations vdr says "channel not available"
if I reset t

Hi!
Before reinventing the wheel - is there any tool that can cut
VDR's TS recordings outside of VDR? (Something like hlcut for
VDR 1.6 recordings).
Thx,

Having pulled out my hair so far over the weekend, I have figured out,
that maybe, I need to change the ca field in channels.conf. After a scan
from dvbscan, it is set to 0, which appearantly means fta. Changing it
to 1 isn't a magical fix, but I think it is something that is needed?

like, for example, "vdr --edit=/path/to/recording"?
Yes, there is. ;)

Hi,
Try the following:
set in menu->settings->dvb
Update channels to add new transponders
then press ok.
Then set the ca field to unencrypted and switch to that channel in vdr.
Vdr should detect the ca field and change the vallue.
HTH.

Ok, you can't specify the target direct
Success!
I removed the pvrinput plugin and set the update to add new transponders on.
And after doing a new dvbscan vdr made it all worked. Incidently, my
smartcard is properly updated now too (in the log, it said somewhere
that the start/end dates was 1 jan 1990; those read reasonable values now
I have created a channel.conf from dvbscan and used the built update
function from VDR.
All channels seem to be added/modified properly, but the FTA channels
are different. Instead of modifying my current entry, it created new ones.
