What exactly do you mean?
The green button does switch between "Now" and "Next" in the "Schedule"
menu.

At the moment when you are looking at "Now" and want to see what is "Next" you
have to press Exit, then down, then Ok (3 key presses)

The yellow button does the trick. At least with my (patchy) 1.6.0-vdr.

I have few DVB-S channels with first (top) row of the video shown on the
screen as a set of
black and while pixels that definitely represent a digital information. I
clearly see some
counters running there.
The same channel broadcasting by local cable provider don't have that line
show
