I don't like finding 4 instant recordings going, using up disk space and

I agree wholeheartedly with Malcolm Caldwell.
I have also read the manual (last night again to be precise)
and still think the handling of the pause key is far from ideal.
I think Timo's patch would be great.
Nothing changes for those who think the current system is 100% perfect

Could somebody post a working reccmds.conf
I want to convert a .ts recording to .avi (xvid)

Well, in my world PCI cards have nothing to do in the livingroom or bedroom.
They should be put away in the attic or cellar together with the hdd's and
antenna cables. The first thing I will do when it arrives is remove the hdd
and boot it up from the same nfs directory as my current livingroom VDR
hi,
I decided to upgrade after about two years with an old, stable(ish)
version.
I installed vdr-1.7.7, yaepghd patch, and osdteletext. For some reason,
I don't seem to get any data to the teletext pages. The /vtx directory
also stays empty. Any ideas on how to debug or what to do?

I am using yaepghd + vdr-xine 9.2. The small window showing the current

Any idea on how to make the video scale for the window?
I run xine with this command:
/usr/local/bin/xine
-Dtvtim
You probably don't want to force aspect ratio unless you don't care
about possibly breaking it. Also, forcing a maxbitrate and then using
quantizer is totally pointless. Stick with just a max quantizer only,
no minimum and no bitrate limits. Better yet, since that command line
is horrible I'd su

Make sure, you use the latest osdteletext version, which is 0.8.1.
There is a new developer version of the Fritz-Plugin waiting for you.
If nothing unexpected happens, this is going to start the new stable branch 1.2.
Changes:
