I wonder if it is possible to somehow make xinelibout automagically detect correct PrimaryDVB, now, every time I plug/unplug usb-devices I need to manually edit setup.conf for correct PrimaryDVB. ie, I have - dev 1 DVB-S FF PCI - dev 2 DVB-T PCI - dev 3 DVB-T USB (occasionaly) this setup requires P

Why not go all the way and implement an opengl rendered OSD with vdpau? This would of course require information from vdr in a slightly different form; ie. semantically instead of pixels. I'd suggest trying to get the OSD information as HTML from VDR, then allowing the frontend to render it in any
