When I play SD channels I have a cpu usage of +/- 20-30%
Hi!
if I get short drop outs on a channel (NO Signal for example) the video goes on
in normal speed, but after 3 or 4 further drop-outs the sound disappears and
the video is in some kind of slow motion. I have to switch to another channel
and back to get picture and sound normal.

Thanks Niels, indeed this helped me as well.
Now I'm getting a HUGE amount of "undefined reference to av_log"
It starts browsing the ffmpeg source tree (where I built ffmpeg) for libav c
files
here's the one that makes it quit:

Good evening all,
I've got a bunch of old recordings made with VDR, like a 20 GB HD
recording. I'd like to slim it down a bit, but don't really know where
to start.

Hi
I use the solution here :
http://www.vdrportal.de/board/thread.php?threadid=73791
You can use mpeg_ps_extract to transform the vdr file in separate file .264
plus several audio file
When extracted, any soft like mencoder can convert them
