I've uploaded version 0.2 of the po2i18n script that converts i18n
strings from gettext to i18n.c format.
The new version now properly handles multi-line i18n strings. To keep
things simple, its still NOT based on Locale::PO. (Sorry, Dieter. ;) )

when trying to compile the new vdr, skincurses reports the following error:

Hello,
The short date format in VDR currently is "mm.yy", while such a date
should actually have two periods, i.e. "mm.yy.", for example "26.08.".
(That is because both the day and month are ordinal numbers.)
The attached patch adds the missing period to DayDateTime() in tools.c.

This seems to build now with these changes. I didnt add backwards
compatibility for < 1.5.9 though.
