i think i'll try this "-ao alsa:pcm=default".
but as i already mentioned, the softdevice complains about the ac3
stream. perhaps something like "-ao alsa:pcm=default#ac3=default#" will
do the job.
so, my real problem was, that i hadn't found any information in how to
build up this "-ao whatever"

$VDR "-P softdevice -vo xv:full"
Softdevice will now use I think the first available alsa card.

I made to many mistakes in my last post.
First to get /dev/dsp working, load the snd-pcm-oss
modprobe snd-pcm.oss
After that add the user who wants to play something to the audio group
and login again.
You can add the user in /etc/group or you can use the adduser tool.
