[vdr] silly Question - new wide screen

I've just connected my VDR box to my Sony Bravia 32" LCD. I'm running the vdr-xine plugin. When I play recordings the screen zooms right up to the 16:9. But when I'm just viewing the OSD (no DVB card working yet) it's only displaying in 4:3. If I view a movie from "xine --fullscreen movie.avi"
