everything to UTF-8. The problem might be in my two-machine setup
where something happens between the systems... I'll have to try and

commented out, that is, using defaults.

libxine1 pacakge is version 1.1.18.1-1+b2, same goes for

However, there's still the problem of (DVB) subtitles: similar tearing
makes the subtitles unusable. On top of that, opening an OSD when there
are subtitles seems to make VDR crash and burn.
Has anyone had the same problem and possibly even come up with the
solution?
