Isn't the UPnP plugin solely for the purpose to use UPnP renderes with
VDR recordings and stuff, and not outside media files?!

stuff, delete recording, everything.
We are using the Hauppauge MediaMVP together with the
vdr-plugin-vompserver on the VDR system.

I don't have DVB-S2 working right now (other priorities), and MPEG4
did not work for m

No problem what so ever. Using it since 2006 iirc.

VB-S card number. This should work. But what about having two DVB-S
cards connected to a multiswitch for Astra1 and a single DVB-S card
connected to the LNB for Astra2

Off upstairs to remove all but one card, and see what happens.
back to the PC.
Same problem. Removed two of DVB-cards, no change.
Moved the cable to different ports on the multiswitch, no change.
Any other idea?

f the four cables going to the Multiswitch were wrong,
wouldn't the channels not work at all? I've looked thru the different
channel settings, but could not find anything obvious, which would
differentiate the good and the bad channels ...
Any ideas what else I can test?

downstairs on a WinXP or Ubuntu system. The problem is
a totally distorted picture, like when I have thunderstorm outside with
bad reception. Block artefacts etc.
Sometimes it gets so bad, VLC quits from errors.
The funny thing is, it is ONLY on some of the channels.
