Its not that buggy, they just did things very different. There is no inetd.conf file on a redhat 7.0 machine. Redhat 7.0 uses xinetd instead. There is a directory called etc/xinetd.d that contains all of the things that are being managed. Now that I have said that, I would suggest using tcpserv
