But I get an error message, that libmysqlclient file could not be found.

/usr/local/mysql/current/lib/mysql
here is what strace returns:

yes, now it works!!
So if I add /home-dir-to-vpopmail to /etc/profile
I can type the vpopmail-commands from everywhere on the commandline.

I have installed qmail and vpopmail. vpopmail works with mysql.
"ps axwww | grep qmail" shows no errors and all services are up more than
one second.
I can add domains and users on the command line in /home/vpopmail/bin.
vpopmail adds domains and users correct to the mysql database.

Logging telnet pop.mydomain.com 110 works.
I have the user [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Authentification of the user works. But then the server complains, that
there is no $HOME/Maildir.
Home of the users is /home/vpopmail/domains/domain/user.
How can I make it work?

yes, the output is a directory /root/Maildir
but the path to the Maildir is
/home/vpopmail/domains/mydomain.com/user/Maildir/
