Hi again:
as you told me i changed
:~# cat /var/qmail/control/defaultdelivery
./Maildir/
:~#
but it still don`t work
from /var/log/qmail/smtpd/current
@40004066936d086cde34 tcpserver: status: 1/20
@40004066936d086facf4 tcpserver: pid 386 from 148.122.16
Did you restart qmail?
svc -d /service/qmail-smtpd
svc -d /service/qmail-pop3d
svc -u /service/qmail-smtpd
svc -u /service/qmail-pop3d
Just to be sure, though -t should be enough here...

Yes, i tryed to restart qmail and vpopmail.
When that didn`t work i actually tryed a "shutdown -r now"
(if that does not restart qmail nothing does).
Should i recompile vpopmail?
The logs clearly states that vpopmail is looking for a mailbox. And since
defaultdelivery says maildir...

The reply, on the log, from vpopmail , it's just the "not found user"
code part:
if ( fs == NULL ) {
printf("Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. vpopmail
(#5.1.1)\n");
So it doesn't matter if you're using mailbox, maildir, whatever,
vpopmail is going to reply always that.
And stop
I only changed to maildir once, when you told me to.. and its still the same
way.
Well, i still dont know where i did go wrong.
i send an email to the server tells me
do not exsist...
If i create i actually get the e-mail to it. But thats not
Let's see if we gather some more info.
Send the output of:
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-showctl
And also, paste the content of the supervise scripts.
Is there a .qmail file in the domain "haavik.us" root folder? if so,
paste content.

Well guys, I’ve made progress on
this. If I change the IP to my external IP rather than localhost it works. So
apparently, it’s looking for the socket in the wrong place.
Where does it pull the path of the socket
from?

Below is the “run” script that supervise uses
for qmail-smtpd. Notice now it uses /bin/checkpassword which is patched for MySQL
support. However, I’m moving to vchkpw, so how would I go about changing the
script so that SMTP AUTH will work?
[/var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd]# cat run

With the learning passwords feature enabled, does that set users’
passwords to the one they supply whenever they check their mail for the very
first time? When I’m adding a user, will it automatically overwrite the
password that I enter?
