I upgraded vpopmail to the last stable version like two or three weeks ago,
and I have checked today that smtp-auth doesn't work correctly.
It seems that vchkpw fails to detect incorrect user/passwd pairs. If I try
to use it as a relay without authentification, it refuses; but if I enable

hello-
Ive got my vpopmail running (thank to ken)
i have my defaultdomain domain.com
as well as virt domains's vdomain.com
i need to accept messages for host.domain.com as domain.com
how do i configure this?
i was looking at vaddaliasdomain.. but im not sure if that is it.
thanks

hi all,
with qmailadmin 0.78 you have the vacation option
the .qmail file of the "vacation" enabled mailbox is like following :
| /opt/qmail/bin/autorespond 86400 3 \
/var/spool/popmail/domains/test.com/0/H/username/vacation/message \
/var/spool/popmail/domains/test.com/0/H/username/vacation
/
in your dns configuration, you need to set up a mx record for domain.com as
well as host.domain.com (using correct and valid domains and hostnames, as
usual. i don't get why people don't want to share their hosts and domains with
the people on the list... well i do, but... you know)

what are you trying to do? deliver mail to a user not on your mail server?
if so, you can create a .qmail file. tell us more and we can tell you more.

do you want to forward all mail sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED]?
if so then why do you need [EMAIL PROTECTED] to be a real mailbox?

I think it goes like:
1.vadduser [EMAIL PROTECTED]
2.vadduser [EMAIL PROTECTED]
3..qmail-test in ~/domains/domain.com with:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
| ~/bin/vdelivermail
"~" of course is the complare vpopmail directory path.

i belive this is right. but
Hi.
I can't even get it to compile. There are no install instructions, so I
assumed I only needed to run 'make' on it, but that gives me the error:
gcc -o vqregister main.o cgi.o template.o global.o misc.o config.o
register.o password.o vpopmail.o db.o field.o badhosts.o
-L/home/vpopmail/lib -l
Add /usr/local/mysql/lib/mysql/ (or where it is on your box) to
/etc/ld.so.conf and run
ldconfig -v
