I have the same problem. (I run Redhat 6.2)
I think I will have to agree that this is not a mysql permissions problem,
every other vpopmail command works fine. Just not vuserinfo.
Any other ideas Ken/folks?

I tracked down the mysql aborted connections in qmailadmin

exiting. That fixes the problem.
I tested it with vpopmail-4.10.24 (will be posted later today)

Now I'm using the vpopmail-4.9.10 , courier-imap1.2.3 with Oracle8.1.6 on
the Solaris7.
And everything is working very well.
However, I have a problem.
I have to change user's password of the vpopmail of Oracle once a month for
security.
As I think, then I have to edit and compile voracle.h once

I agree that this poses a problem. It would be great if the
hostname/dbname/username/password for SQL lookups could be put in a
configuration script instead of having to compile them into the binary.

Greetings,
Im running into a couple problems, tho Im not sure if this list is the place

I was reading the changelog for the latest release of vpopmail (4.10.24) and

This should be ok. But try removing the "--enable-
vpopmail=vpopmail" part. vpopmail is the default user.

Well, almost everything is working... domains
get added, deleted. Vuserinfo works, etc. I can't POP though.
Anyone have any suggestions? Here's output and a truss...

Hi,
I am trying to install the newer version 4.10.24 over 4.9.10. But it seems
"vconvert" is not working at all in version 4.10.24. It doesn't produce
anything, not even if it is run without any options (should produce the
help menu?).
The binary is a lot smaller than in the earlier version
If you set it up with the help of lifewithqmail.org (which is common), your
/var/qmail/supervise/qmail-pop3d/run script would have a line like this on
it:
exec /usr/local/bin/softlimit -m 200 \
...
Raise 200, svc -du /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-pop3d, repeat until the
error goes away.

Just an FYI, the failure of vconvert to report "usage" info when you don't
supply any arguments after the command has been happening for some time
(read revs.) now. I discovered this a while back and thought it was
indicative of a bigger problem I was seeing, but I now think it's just
buggy... T
tried that already, but no luck. I tried running just ./configure with no
extra options and I get the same message.
It seems strange that the message says Unable to chdir to
vpopmail/domains/domain directory Why is it trying to chdir to
/vpopmail/domains/domain???

Here's an excerpt from an earlier post I made to this list. It may help.
There's (what I'd consider a bug) in vpopmail.c Ken is 'lower-casing' the
path /home/vpopmail/domains/foo.com and then doing a chdir to that result.
I had upper case in my path to vpopmail so it broke when running. I've

In Slackware descrypt.tgz should be on the distrubution CD or
available from ftp.slackware.com in the 7.1 directory.
To install it just run installpkg descrypt.tgz then run ldconfig.
In the vpopmail source you should then run make distclean and
then run configure again.

Thanks Chris, but I tried the version from 4.10.23, with the same result.
Nothing seems to be happening at all.
I peeked at the source in vconvert.c. There is a "#ifdef FOOB" on the
very first line. There dosen't seem to be any reference to this anywhere
else in the code. I don't pretend t
