it was a mysql problem. I compiled it without mysql (--enable-mysql=n) and
it works. Thank you for your help (was there any? :P -thanks relay for
trying :-) ) ; i think i can make it work now that i know what was wrong.

Have a new installation of qmail working with Sqwebmail vpopmail, etc...,
but have one slight irregularity. When I display the expanded headers in
Sqwebmail, the "Delivered-To" line shows
"/home/vpopmail/domains/rsi-ny.com/rstanley/Maildir". I expected to see

Either am going crazy.. or the difference between your 4.9.8 versus
the 4.9.10 patch is that with the 4.9.8 patch you could have the mysql
open relay table, and have cdb auth. In your 4.9.10 patch, you can
only have the mysql relay table IF you use mysql auth. Am I correct
on the 4.9.10 patch?
