Has anybody had any success with Windows 2000 Active Directory and
vpopmail.
I don't know very much about LDAP, and I've just started fooling
around with it, and I have been trying to get vpopmail-4.8.9 to
authenticate and connect to the windows 2000 LDAP server.
I have been able to connect and

If you are trying to access a W2K Active Directory using standardized LDAP
code, you might be out of luck. I have heard (but have not verified) that
W2K AD will NOT allow a standard LDAP applicati

It looks like everything is functioning exactly correctly.
The problem is you didn't set the mail TO: address to what
you wanted. You set it to:

Try doing this:
echo "to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]" | /var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject
Also, I would think you'd like to set up mail

If you are using tcpserver -v for pop and smtp, It would be fairly
straight forward to write a file parsing pr

There is a bug in the 4.9.3 code which is fixed in
the 4.9.3a code. It caused "Ack, child crashed" messages.

Hello!
I think that centralized control of vacation-like program can be useful for vpopmail.
Should I have time, I'll work on it, but maybe some others have done something like
this?
Alex.
Hi,
I have Qmail, vpop,
fastforward, courier, sqlweb, etc all installed and working, with one bug.
In order to get fastforward working with vpopmail, I had to put it in a domain's
.qmail-default running in pass-through mode before the vpopmail line. If I
do that, FastForward works fine.
Hi!
I have a real user on my system, which was getting his mail via
APOP ... everything was fine.
When I tried to switch him back to POP, I deleted his entry in the
/etc/apop-secrets. Since then he is not able to fetch his mails
due to an authorization error, although he is able to open a

Hi...
I have two server.

IMAP.MYDOMAIN server installed Qmail, Vpopmail and Courier IMAP...
DB.MYDOMAIN server installed MySQL.
When compilling vpopmail in IMAP.MYDOMAIN
I modified the vmysql.h following

Well, you know...
If you're using daemontools, it's pretty easy to have it trigger a script
every time your log file reaches a predefined limit. This script can process
the logs (using qmail's optional tools) and you could easily feed that
output through whichever of the z* tools that spits out w
Hi!
Another question:
I want to upgrade from vchkpw to vpopmail
1) Do I have to shut down qmail before installing?
2) Do I have to install tcpserver, or can I use the
oldstyle tcpd?
here's my inetd.conf:

/var/qmail/bin/q
I seem to recall vpop supporting .qmail files in the domain.com/user
directory at some point in the past. I tried setting one up today that
just contained "&[EMAIL PROTECTED]" to try forwarding, but it didn't
deliver the message at all. Here's the error from the log:

Hi,
Is there a way to migrate a vpopmail MySql enabled site to CDB? Any
comments?
And what about LDAP? LDAP would be great for my Intranet (proxy, socks and
firewall authentication works with LDAP).
If not, can I just create all user accounts in my LDAP server, install a
fresh Qmail+Vpopmail and
Thanks to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello Everyone,
