You could try to type "pass "
(without "word" after "pass"...).
Hope it helps,

Hi Sumith !
I have a .qmail-auto file with the following text:
|autorespond 1 5 /var/qmail/vpopmail/

Hi All !
I have solved the problem (i have an old .qmail-hosmaster with a bad
message file indication).
This brings up an interesting point about the performance of vpopmail and
possibly tuning options. Does anyone have information about how much of a
load a server can handle using the different authentication backend provided
by vpopmail. Currently, vpopmail supports, in some way, MySQL, Open LDAP,

Hello,
This is a very important topic...
I believe that the a lot of performance loss with any database
comes from the fact
that you open a new db connection every time you need to access data.
Here i believe is a solution that might speed things up dramatically:
I requires some patches to Vpopm

Hi all:
now i have a problem when install sqwebmail
I use vpopmail+mysql+sqwebmail, and have installed vopopmail4.8.4+mysql. i think it is
ok.
then there is some problem when i install sqwebmail0.37.
i run ./configure --enalbe-authvchkpw --without-authpam
--without-authuserdb
Sounds like a good plan. I'd be happy to help out.

Yes. I've been in contact with the SQL Relay author about
this exact topic. He was nice enough to add a C api so
that we could use it with vpopmail.
Unfortunately I haven't had any time to work on it.

Hello All,
Here is what I found in a cursory look for testing programs. Kevin Bucknum

about the performance of the mail server but they do act as a mail
While one of my users was being brute force
password guessing attacked, I noticed the following:
Jul 17 01:32:56 kungfoo vpopmail[8190]: vchkpw:
password fail [morgan] [kiss] from 209.107.42.5Jul 17 01:32:57 kungfoo
vpopmail[8192]: vchkpw: password fail [morgan] [innovative] from
209.107.4
I did some more testing after compiling like this (vpopmail 4.8.5/courier .36a).
Extreme weirdness - all the time i attempt this "imap-roaming-users" via AOL it
works, but nowhere else.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Jacob

Hi guys,
I've been using vpopmail in 4 different servers with about 1000+ domains in
each box. I'm thinking about building another machine which going to host
about 5000+ email accounts with one domain. Would vpopmail with MySQL be a
choice for this .. or can anybody tell me a better qmail config

The documentation recommends using only virtual domains on your host.
I'd like to do this, and I read one message telling to add the local
hostname like any other virtual domain ('vadddomain
host.domain.com'), and that appeared to work fine--but what

should *never* be world-readable. They should preferably be 600, owne

Dear Sir,
I am trying to install Autoresponder which I've
downloaded from www.qmail.org
but it gives the following error.. when I try to

Well, in actuality, those are warnings, not errors, so the code should be
still compiling and it should work correctly. In fact, you wouldn't even
seem them if you didn't use the "-Wall" flag with gcc.
But if you'd like to make them go away, I *believe* it should be as simple
as modifing line
