Hello,
I have a couple of vpopmail/qmail-based e-mail servers that have worked well

A few years ago, we began using the Calendar Server on MacOSX. The calendar

My original install of vchkpw is:

If I keep it without any changes, the smtp-auth is not working, and I then
in logs:

So it seems that qmail smtp-auth conflicts with the rights of

Hi,
Since I implemented the patch chkuser and smtp-auth on qmail 1.3 I have
rights problems.
If I keep the default setting of my vpopmail:
-rwx--x--x 1 vpopmail vchkpw 73K juin 6 2006 vchkpw
All works except smtp-auth
and when I put:
-rws--s--x 1 vpopmail vchkpw 76K juin 6 2006
I finally made everything work. For future searchers,
this was the solution:
1- rebuild vpopmail after passing the --enable-qmail-ext
argument to its configure script
2- uncomment/enable both the following:
#define CHKUSER_ENABLE_ALIAS_DEFAULT
#define CHKUSER_ENABLE_USERS_EXTENSIONS
in
M_LISTS.
See
http://www.interazioni.it/opensource/chkuser/documentation/chkuser_settings.html
for more info.

Many thanks for your help, things are clear now.

Correct, users do not have the proper permissions to execute these
commands. You may place any permissions on these files that you would
like. Regular users (non-

Dear all,
I'm currently doing some packaging work for vpopmail, and have reviewed the file
properties. I have seen, that all files (except vusaged in 5.5) have the properties set
to "-rwx--x--x 1 vpopmail vchkpw". Shouldn't that be more restrictive? E.g. set
to 0750 or ev

Matt,
i've some posts you made regarding using the vpopmail driver, however i
found nothing explaining how to do it. I did a lot of googling but
whitout success (or right search words).
Can you detail/explain how to use/configure it?
Thank you
