I am not sure what he is looking for but I have used vpopmail for over 10 years and never had any problems. If you need quota then yes that¹s a different story. In the old days you could use and configure vpopmail with OS quota (linux etc) but now with the new version you can use vpopmail integrate

Hmm, strange. Are you sure there is no .qmail-default file in the domain directory and it is located in user's dir? And, imho, path /home/vpopmail/~vpopmail... looks pretty strange. And how does the message without 'from','subject' etc fields looks like? I think header lines would be enough.
