The vpopmail config program checks several directories to locate the

To only allow localhost to relay and require all other IPs to

Definitely a design flaw, even before the domain name length increase.
I believe Ken once told me it was a mistake, but he never removed it

I'm sorry. I didn't mean a dns lookup on the hostnames.
I meant using rblsmtpd to do the query against their database.
It might be related to a network issue since queries seem to

None of their rbl host names are resolving.
I've tried:
zen.spamhaus.org
sbl.spamhaus.org
xbl.spamhaus.org
sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org
pbl.spamhaus.org
We noticed a delay in accepting email and tracked
it down to rblsmtpd checks on any of those lists.
If you know the path to the maildir you can use that instead like:
/home/vpopmail/domains/somedomain/someuser/Maildir/
then the vdelivermail line
That will keep it out of the queue since qmail-local will
just drop it into the Maildir/new directory.

If vpopmail configures you can copy those files from

had the same issue with 64bit machines.
We have a new release of vqadmin for next week that

The vpopmail module to authdaemon is might be missing
the vpopmail vclose() function.
If so, then every connection to the authdaemon would open a new mysql

which allocates memory. Then without the vclose the memory never gets
