Hi there!
Use qmailadmin or put a file named .qmail in the user1's maildir
containing &[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Since you are using a .de e-mail address i suppose that you speak
german :-) If so, take a look at pofo.de. Olli wrote a howto for FreeBSD
including a (short) smtp-after-pop-hack section.

Ok, this might be even faster ;-)

Hi!
Urgent, huh? :-)
I suppose the fastest way is by blocking it with pf, ipf, ipfw,
iptables, ... (depending on the platform you are using)

Hi!
As far as I remember vpopmail has an option called "DEFAULT_DOMAIN".
If you enable this for your domain you can use the username to login. If
there are any additional/virtual domains on the server you have to use
the whole e-mail address for those.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
my case it had to do something with qmail-queue but
it's still not really working.
Thanks,

Right now I'm a step ahead(?) and can send mails from the prompt, but
when I try to send a msg with telnet or evolution, I get "mail server
temporarily rejected message".
pop3/imap works fine.
Thanks for your help
Bernd
Can this really be because of the changes I made to the LDAP structure
or do I have to search for my mistake somewhere else?
Thanks and have a nice day

Hi Marcio!
Well, it's maybe not the most comfortable way, but for me it works just
fine on FreeBSD 5.2.1:
Just add "--enable-auth-module=ldap" to the "CONFIGURE_ARGS=" of
/usr/ports/mail/vpopmail/Makefile
Give it a try

te it into
/etc/aliases or /var/qmail/alias/.qmail-root but no effect.
What's the best way to forward my root mails? Should I start the support
for .forward files although I just need it for root or is there an
"easier" way?
Thanks and have a nice day

means your webserver is improperly configured to run

I have setup .htaccess and put the in apache. Basically,
everything was followed from the INSTALL. Any thoughts?
Does Apache ask you about your username and password or is he ignoring
your .htaccess?

MD5 would be ok, as long as
it stores the plaintext password next to the encrypted one.
So has anyone ever had the same problem and could help me out?
Please give me a hint ;-)
Thanks in advance and greetings from Austria

tcpmakectl to /usr/local/bin/tcprules, it is working fine!
Thank you all for your help, special thanks to Chris for the links
Have a nice day
