here is my configure options:

--without-passwd-file \
--without-shadow \
--without-pam \
Binaries don't have vpopmail support by default i think, but i installed
using instructions from John Simpson (http://qmail.jms1.net/dovecot.shtml)
and it was easy as a breeze.
